Handspring - компанія-виробник кишенькових комп'ютерів (КПК) і комунікаторів під управлінням операційної системи Palm OS.
Англійське слово handspring буквально означає - сальто. «Колесо» - гімнастичне рух, при якому тіло перевертається на 360 ° з опорою руками об землю. Логотип Handspring зображує чоловічка, що робить «колесо».
Handspring Visor
Visor and Visor Deluxe
Першим представленим компанією пристроєм став Visor Solo. Цей КПК був чорного кольору, кількість його вбудованої пам'яті становило два мегабайти. Visor Deluxe. в свою чергу, випускався і в прозорих пластикових корпусах різних кольорів, кількість вбудованої пам'яті було збільшено до восьми мегабайт. Обидві моделі працювали під управлінням операційної системи Palm OS 3.1H. Процесором їм служив 16МГц Dragonball, спільного виробництва Motorola і Freescale. У модифіковану версію Palm OS. використовувалася в цих КПК, були включені покращений щоденник, годинник з підтримкою зміни часових поясів і просунутий калькулятор. На відміну від Palm Pilot. інфрачервоний порт Visor був поміщений на боці пристрою, для того, щоб звільнити місце під слот розширення Springboard. Критики звертали увагу на недостатньо товсті гумові прокладки між кнопками і контактами, через що кнопки було складно натискати. Так само лунали скарги на знімну кришку, що закриває екран, яка легко губилася. Дизайн пір'я у Visor був незвичайний - на кінці одного з двох додаються до пристрою пір'я була викрутка, а на кінці другого - засіб для натискання кнопки перезавантаження пристрою.
Вага Visor і Visor Deluxe становив 153 грами. Їх розміри в довжину, ширину і товщину: 12,2 см, 7,62 см, 1,88 см.
